Language And Literacy for schools


Summary

The main focus of this article is to reflect on the process of education on the literacy aspects of orality, reading and writing, We will reflect if the teacher allow his students the opportunity to freely write their texts, they can tell their life stories and see them respected and valued, and exchange experiences, building confidence can take them high in their careers.

Literacy and Language:
We believe that thinking in education, literacy and language is important, but above all we must think in humans, the acquisition of development of oral and written literacy, Giving the opportunity for not only a reader of books, but also a reader who Is very critical of themselves and their reality, so you can being a teacher turn it in a way thus that student in his learning develops different skills and responsible become citizen society.

Speaking, reading and writing as ways of learning:
Reading and writing are present in our daily lives in an articulate way. One contributes to the development of another. Given that one of the main tasks of the school is to make all students have the knowledge and mastery of the multiple functions of language, where it has different manifestations and aims to share the communication between people.

According to Dias (2001, p. 25) Our task as educators is to address all kinds of texts in the classroom, analyzing the similarities and differences, the structure of each text, the vocabulary used, seeking to encourage reading, interpretation and production by the students of many different people with existing texts and used in our society. Speaking is worked out in particular through the construction of stories, dramatized readings, shared readings, puppet playhouse, where, then, children are invited to write and recount stories of their ways. Another activity is to ask children to draw up a list of characters with which they identify in the story. We note that it is an activity where everyone is involved, some want to recount, others draw and write.

Conclusion:
One visible consequence of this activity is happening every day In the form of Books, textbooks that are taken home by the interests of children. This activity invited  encouraging parents to get involved in the learning of children them approaching them affectively in the progress of literacy which will make this young student a responsible citizen of society.
